Had a good time directing the new TV Commercial for Aquapark Qatar. Great cast & crew. Worked with some amazing new talents. Love it to see my storyboard ideas getting reality ;)
One thing though, our drone pilot crashed a DJI Phantom 2 with mounted GoPro4 into the water. Happens ;)
‘Enjoy’ the crash footage and some of the BTS photos.

Check out the documentary (6 episodes) I worked on as DOP last summer. It was one of the hardest shoots I’ve ever been on with a film crew of 40+ people. Up to 20h working days were the norm. It tells the story behind the famous annual Katara Fishing Competition where dozens of Dhows with their Qatari crews sail out for a week and show their fishing skills. It was shown on Qatar TV and all 6 episodes are now available online. Watch and enjoy.

Short highlights video of the ‘Save Our Mangroves’ – Campaign which took place on 30th May 2014 in Al Khor, Qatar. Big thanks to ILQ – ILoveQatar.net and the hundreds of participants and sponsors who made this event a huge success.
Qatar is home to the Avicennia Marina, also known as the grey mangrove or white mangrove tree, communities of which form several forests around Qatar’s shores. These mangrove swamps are home to a wealth of life, including a new species of sea slug that was found in 2007 by a member of the Qatar Natural History Group.
The largest area of mangroves – and the oldest – can be found around Al Thakira and Al Khor.
The purpose of this campaign is to spread awareness about the country’s hidden natural heritage and the Qatari mangrove eco-system.
